So what do you guys say to LR saying there could be warranty ussues re suspension, bushes etc if you fit 22 inch wheels - as they do not officially sell 22'' wheels. Although saying that - I took my car to Stratstone for a service 2 weeks ago and 2 brand new 57 plates TDV8's were sitting on 22'' Diamond Stormers - when I asked about it he said that they would not be covered! How can they sell new cars to people like that?

I would love 22'' on my car but keep getting told about the harder ride, possible queries from your insurers, and obviously the warranty issues....

At the end of the day LR would have to show that a problem was directly the fault of the wheels to refuse a warranty claim in that area. Whilst a lot of dealers will cut to the chase and simply blame them from the word go without even bothering to investigate, there are way too many owners (esp in the US) where the std wheels get swapped for a bigger option. There's no evidence on this forum at least to suggest that countless warranty claims are being refused simply because you've swapped your wheels for 22s.

If you want 22s, get them fitted NickM. Keep your old wheels and in the scenario where you might have a problem in that area, swap the old ones back on before you go to the dealer.

Schmoogle, great idea - will get them done - and my only problem is keeping the 4 large 20'' Supers in the back garden as I don't have a garage - anyone know how to make a water feature out of them???

The car rides so well, I might just get them done anyway - the wheel centre offered me £400 for the wheels with tyres...so not a bad deal. I would love to bite the bullet and get Overs on them instead.

Thanks for the feedback guys

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Saw LR3 at the dealership with these Redbourne Monarch 22's, and thought they looked pretty sharp. Not sure how well that glossy black finish would hold up though.

22s

People have been talking about wheel cracking and paint flaking, this usually happens on replicas. Think about the price you are paying for a set of replica Overfinch wheels with decent tyres, these replicas are so cheap and nasty and we tell anyone who asks not to by replicas wheels. Buy wheels that are from an established manufacturer so if you have any problems you have a warranty to fall back on. The Chinese factory where the replicas are made does not care about quality as it is not going to damage their brand if the wheels crack or buckle.
You have bought an expensive car so do not risk it with cheap wheels!!

If anyone needs advice just give us a call at Designer Wheels on 0151 343 0003 (even if you do not plan on buying anything from us), we do not sell replicas and have a range of wheels in 20" and 22" that are from established and reputable manufacturers that we trust. Plus we are offering a 5% discount to all RRSport.co.uk users!
