Insurance costs

Just had my renewal through from Bell (end) Insurance. Cheeky S*ds.

I quote "Despite premiums increasing throughout the insurance industry, as a valued customer" bla bla bla

Get this - renewal cost for F2 SE with 6 yrs NCD = £627.81!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked Shocked

The Censored S/C only costs me £423 Fully comp and 10yrs NCD and that's protected!!!! Rolling Eyes

Anyway, did the usual and visited one of those "we search them all" websites.......new price £223.36 !!!!!! That is a MASSIVE £400+ saving. Policy is exactly the same with better excess amounts. Where's the logic??

Oh and the classic thing is now (have you noticed this), we will automatically renew your policy and charge your card....what is this Censored . If I want it, I will tell you....not expect to call you on the 0870 number at 25p a millisecond to Censored well cancel the damn thing............Jees this would not have happened under a Thatcher led government Whistle Whistle

Needless to say, I am changing.....naturally Thumbs Up L322 Big Daddy SUPERCHARGED 5.0 Autobiography - Here & Now!

Nice one Will,

My ins co wrote to me a few weeks ago to inform that my insrance had expired 3 days ago!!!

I was not to worry as I had full cover....they had hit my card 3 weeks earlier!!!! Shocked Shocked

Did I go ape ? oh yes. Mad
The worst bit , I couldnt get a full refund without losing a months worth of ins.

The result was a cheque in the post by way of an apology.
Not nearly good enough.

My premium was £600 ish.
I asked why it had gone up again.....it's because of 9,11 sir.
I asked if the taliban were stealing rangerovers , she said she wasnt sure! Laughing

"Thatcher led government.....don't get me started..mumble.....mumble...labour party...mumble)

Legal robbery! They've got a bloody cheek renewing the policies the way they do these days - seems like someones always trying to trip us up and pull a fast one! Evil or Very Mad
Mines about £850 this year (mainly as I had points and I'm just buying the RRS so has now put up the cost). Big Cry
Will need to do some ringing/ surfing around towards the end of the year but does anyone recommend a particular insurance company for our type of car (if you can bring yourself to "recommend" an insurannce firm that is!)?

Before we moved here, we used our RRS in UK for about 6 months or so and after MUCH shopping around found that Norwich Union were the cheapest.

I'm paying £800 for my multi car policy with Admiral, I'm glad that the cars are UK registered and inssured as to insure the RRS to the same level here in Belgium would cost me £1906 (€2400) Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Just renewed mine at a tad over £600 Shocked That's with 10 years NCD (protected).

I think I must be old fashioned as I still use a broker and not one fo those internet based jobbies. If the broker ever helped himself to next years renewal of the card I know where he works Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Current: I can't say...Oh the Shame!

Just phoned Gonzo at End Bell Direct, they had the gall to ask WHY I was cancelling.........I stated cost..........to which they replied.............how about if we drop the price by £50 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thud

Are these puppets really that thick Question

I replied with "oh yes please, I would like to go ahead with that, so you are charging me £xx which is still £350 more than the xx insurance cover.....that sounds like a brilliant deal"....NOT.

Thicko replied with "I am so glad you have chosen to stay with us....that discount of £50 is such a good deal and unheard off"....Yeah right.

I cannot type what I said next, but I will go so far to say she did not see the funny side. Thumbs Up

quite a few years back i worked at the little red phone company

They would want to know why they could not sell a policy that met all the requirements but was £300 more, when they were listened to by the team leaders for performance reviews then say to the monkey on the phone they could have sold it if you pushed, or told them about the free basic breakdown cover worth £38

Shocked
