Hello all - i'm still alive Wink

I'm just not sure you can text as quick on an iphone as you can on say..... any nokia ????

I have the ipod touch = great for what it does - great web access - fast and better at loading/reading internet web pages than any phone i've had. BUT - for me , I text a lot and do use the camera on my phone too. { N958gb ] ..... I think apple have a great product - but again - just havn't gone far enough. i mean a poxy 2 mgp camera Laughing and no front 2nd camera for video calling - i mean ... come on apple keep up Wink

Just had a chat with O2 who tell me I can upgrade to iphone but I need to do it in a shop Confused The local O2 shop is closing for a refurb but tells me each shop is getting just 5! Are there any other ways of getting on a 16GB iphone deal early on? Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

Surely that depends what you want the phone for? Confused I'm interested in the mobile me functionality, having a big screen to look at documents on, being able to surf the net when inbetween appointments, I don't need a camera and don't do much texting. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

I'm sure the mobile phone market is tuned heavily towards those who simply want the latest and greatest gadget. Personally, I need my mobile to make/receive phone calls, send/receive the odd text and that's pretty much it. I find the camera useful from time to time, but otherwise... why can I not just have a phone that's a phone? Very Happy

You work in an office though, lots of us don't. I don't want to go to the cost of a laptop so an iphone seems to tick many of the boxes and combined with being able to network it to my mac and pc at home via mobile me seems to make sense. Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate

I don't disagree, P - I just get frustrated when you end up with a device that has all of this functionality and I bet a large proportion of users don't use it all. But then the same could be said for a lot of things, I know Very Happy
