Hmm one boat speed was measured with a GPS and the speed of the other boat was measured with a paddle wheel... So? Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

England 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

I recall an item on this subject on Top Gear several years ago, it did not involve Sat nav , but they had a Ford Sierra, and another car I can not remember the model of , and they were both reading about 10% higher than thier true speed. 08 HSE,5%TINTS, Factory tow bar, brum ,brum

What I think Alicat means is....

that the paddle wheel will measure speed through the water, which could and often is different to speed over ground.

Speed through the water is affected by current, wash etc. Speed over ground is fixed... So GPS could be correct (for speed over ground). 2022 P440e AB
