Hmm.. i don't know mate.. you get quite used to the diesel clatter and the woosh and slight whistle of the turbo.. i quite like it.... yeah give me the m3/the old rs4 back any day.. but at least i don't have to fill the bleeding things anymore! 27mpg is good for me now! im a reformed man.. may have reduced my carbon footprint, but have more cars on the drive to make up for it now.. Embarassed

Was shocked as the tax on the 2.2 cdi viano was £220 for 6 months.... it was only £115 for the 7's 6 month tax im sure. I bought a Clio 1.5 dci for a friend the other day.. £35 tax for the year!! couldn't believe it, thought it was a typo on the system..

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Will - I think the MY08 looked a bit weedy but I think the MY09 shown in my 1st post looks suitably beefed up without going too far and looking like some kind of Kahn reject!

Kaine - I remember we very nearly bought an ML320CDi Sport before the RRS and remember being mightyly impressed with it.

Kam - I know what you mean and with fuel bills at the moment could prove to be a bit depressing but I really believe that life is WAAAAY too short to worry about things like depreciation and running costs. If I was to go via the black pump (Or yellow over here) I would probably go for a FFRR TDV8 Vogue SE. Not as quick I know, but surely one of, if not THE best diesel engine out there for refinement?

Shmoogle - I know what you're saying te Cayenne Turbo but believe it or not, they are pretty common over here. Only seen 3 or 4 Turbo's but would only put up with its looks if it was rare!

Misery - What was it that left you cold? Was it purely down to it being too car like? I have read that whilst it is a barnstorming engine, the heavier the car it is in, the more revs it needs to deliver. It lacks the monster low down torque of the 55 Supercharged engine.

At the moment, it's just another option as importing a 6.2L into Cyprus will add about €40,000 to the price.

Oh yeah, Mrs ST likes it which is a good start..... Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
