Clarence is nice - also try The Morgan right in middle of Temple Bar - very contemporary though, so make sure parents like it.... |

The Marriot Shelbourne in St Stephens Green is very good, nice 5* hotel with charm rather than glitz, got a good bar too Stayed there a few times over the years and if the wife likes it, so must be good.... Brit across the Pond

Clontarf castle was undergoing a huge refurb when i stayed there this time last year which i believe is now complete...even then it was excellent. Its a short way away from the city centre in a leafy suburb. Short taxi from airport and shorter taxi into the city.

2 1/2 days is a long long time in Dublin - it's a small city - venture out to Black Rock etc and it's a welcome break from the city - bus tour is a good idea - along with the paddy jokes along the way.... |
