I agree about the HST kit, i cant understand the appeal (apart from the tips)

I also agree with your views on the Overfinch and the Arden, but why is it not many people take the plunge and kit their RRS ??

Well, plenty of people do kit theirs up, especially in the US market. But I guess a lot of people think it looks great in stock form so the subtle touches seem to work better - change the vents and grilles for colour coded ones, a new set of exhaust tips... maybe replacement wheels. But kits seem to be the bridge too far.

England 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

Modifying your car with aftermarket body kit is generally done by the young or young at heart????? Seeing how many of the young are unable to afford such a luxury as an RRS in the first place they are hardly able to then spend the circa 10K overfinch want to fully modify the car. Resulting in the older more affluent buyer being in a position to do so but I would assume most are more than happy with the standard non modified look of the RRS and view 10K upgrade to the looks a waste of money???? So the market is relatively small unless the cost is sensible for the younger and the style is conservative for the older!

HST is spoilt only in my opinion by the grey plastic parts to the bumpers and the empty looking grills...the larger spoiler and chunkier bumpers are great if only spoilt slightly by the contrasting plastic unless on a Stornoway to which it blends nicely.

Overfinch is all well and good but I like the side steps which it appears do not fit to the aero styling side skirts (well I havnt seen both together on an RRS yet).

Arden pants and also Kahn pants...un original un inspiring design as far as I am concerned and a complete farking rip off.

I hope your idea is original and I would search on autotrader for RRS to see all the different companies doing trying to amend the RRS in various ways to make it different...excluding the big players mentioned above i think there are 3 or 4 trying to modify/style the RRS and sell at silly prices.

As an HST owner the sole reason I went for one is aggression...the standard car for me looks too girly at the front end and needs a squarer look at the rear, hence my choice. Thumbs Up

The tail pipes are aesthetically excellent and add a great finish. Outside of the OEM box, the only decent kit I have seen is the Arden kit, but unfortunately they leave the front girly!! Whistle

My only gripe after seeing NickM's wheels are that the 20 inchers look far too small now.....for my next one, I will have to upgrade! Thumbs Up

I agree - i think the front and rear lower valances need to be colour coded. However as mine is Java - you all know I have gone the full hog on coding, but I am now also thinking about a black coded HST grill for the front. My award for the best ad on for a TD has to be the tips - excellent effect for only £160 - has to be the best ad onn after the SC vents, side indicators etc...

Cheers for your replies Mr Brown and Mr Wonka Wink

I realise that this type of car is not aimed at the under 25 market where the bodykits sell like hotcakes and i know i said in an earlier post that i disike the HST kit but i have to admit that i would prefer a HST kitted car than a standard version.

As for Overfinch and the 10k package, what exacty does that get you ????

Well the kits 5K the rest is made up with engine mod, wheels etc.

Standard range rover wheels when the car is kitted up is a bit of a no no...hst with stormers is Thumbs Up but looks better with tigers filling the arches.

Agree with will-wonka the front is tame untill that boxy and chunky HST front bumper if fitted. Thumbs Up and also the exhausts are just great. Always thought the spoiler on the RRS is too small and needs beefing up after seeing the enlarged HST one...doesnt your mate at HAWKE use a similar kit to the HST one NICKM?

Being based in Ireland who do you intend on using over here to fit the kit and how will you manage the quality of work from over seas? or is it sell for retro fit by customer...if thats the case it wants to be cheap and fool proof!

I have 2 guys in England who have been at the game for years waiting to jump onboard and start getting the name out there as well as a few guys in Europe. All kits are going to be fitted by appointed dealers so as thers no messing about although they will be very easy to fit.

Iv been at the bodykit game for years now sellin (never producing) saxo, 206, astra ..... etc. but with the amount of years under my belt and all the mistakes iv made have been and gone it just seems a good time to move up the ladder and use my contacts to start my own range of kits.

The first kit in the range should come in well under 5K. Wink
