Is there a way to make the car always go to access mode when it is parked and the ignition is off? My handbook tells me that I can control the Air Suspension from the remote (Mrs BKHK would like it to have easier access) but to be honest, either I am being thick or it doesn't work.

Well i spoke about this is another posting...there is a thing called transpotation mode... where the car actually drops to the suspension stops...after the power is off... this is so that during transportation the car down not have free movement on its airbags to move around too much... so he enjoyed having that functions...(cause the dealers forgot to turn it off) until he had to change the wheel and it hung like a limp elephants you know what...he got to the end of the jack extension and the wheel was still touching the ground... |

In the older models one could raise/lower the suspension via the remote in order to hitch a trailer... .

Tastech it doesn't work on my 2008MY Tdv8. When you press the button to lower keep the button pressed until you hear the warning bong and then it will be locked in access mode until you unlock it again. This is for use in carparks with low ceilings. It you lock it down you MUST unlock it again when you drive off by holding the switch until you get the warning gong again and the message on the info screen. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Also think that you have to have the hazzard lights on too before the suspension will move. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

You guys are probably right about the hazard lights, it does say that in the handbook. I thought it was just some meaningless Health and Safety thing but maybe not. The thing is, it all seems a bit inconvenient to have to open the door, switch on the hazard lights, close the door and then adjust the suspension using the remote. While I have the door open, its easier just to hit the suspension switch...or am I missing something?

Can't raise or lower suspensions - remotely or not - whilst any door is open... Think the only exception may be the rear tailgate. ![]() |
