I don't class the FL2 as a entry level to the LR family

Having got both in HSE I would say think carefully what you want. If you don't need the space (particularly boot space) and want a nippier car that is needed to do really tough off road work then the Fl2 makes great sense. I can't comment on prices because I haven't the foggiest and always loose out in the same way!! Porsche Cayenne S Diesel 66 Plate |

Willi, any chance of going for an SE Auto rather than Manual? The automatic is very good. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

It is... and a friend of ours has a manual TD4 and thinks the manual box is very tiresome (not simply because they are lazy, but because it doesn't seem to be too well mated to the engine). I've also always thought that the FL2 is a bit expensive... especially when compared with the FL1.

I have just paid 24K for a TDV4 SE Freelander 2 on a 57 plate with 10,000 miles on the clock and Charles Hurst couldn't do me a better deal. The FL2 is a great car and I love it. IMHO I think it drives better than the RRS! (Don't kill me guys!)

Went for Silver WITH black side door bits and mudflaps, it broke the car up and gave it a better stance.
