What is the matter with my RRS TDV8?

There must be something wrong with my TDv8.............................

Tyre wear is very even and negligible according to my tread depth gauge, the DR suspension doesn't rattle, nothing has fallen off it and I drive it a lot harder than I have ever driven any other Land Rover that I have owned. It is a 2008MY and has done 8000 miles. Should I be returning it to LR as being unsuitable for purpose as it gives me nothing to whinge about? Advice please.
Ok so it has a chip in the front screen and I have now managed to kerb 3 out of the 4 wheels but that isn't the fault of LR or the dealer. About the only fault I can find with it is that I can only get 27-28mpg out of it and it should be capable of at least 45mpg in this day and age. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I can only agree, as I have had my car for 3 months now and my TDV8 is just the best car I have ever had. It is quick, comfortable, quiet yet you can hear the V8 rumble and even " She who must be obeyed likes it" and this after she hated it. Mind you I only allow her in the car on weekends...so yes I like my "faulty car" Steve

Tim I don't even think you could take it back for that, but if you do let me know and I will do the same as there really must be something wrong with mine. Wink Wink Shocked Shocked Big Cry Big Cry

I think there must be something worng with my car (ok I only have a TDV6) but I keep expecting it to go wrong, and nothing has - because believe me I'd be the first person in the morning knocking on the door of the dealer - but I must say I am pleasantly surprised. Fuel consump not as good as I would have hoped - but thats London driving for you. Never really though this car would be a head turner, but am surprised, more people look at it than they did at my 650 or even my Maser (because alot of people don't know what it is!).

Amazing in London though, how many women drive RRS. FFRR, Q7.....must say a good looking woman behind the wheel of a RRS is a lovely sight!!

Well my 08 TDV8 has now covered 5000 miles since early December and other than the wheels that mark ever so easily (I mean when washing them) and the damaged dash top & radio when I first picked her up she has been fine. Both dash and radio were sorted very quickly by the dealer.

Her in doors did not like the RRS toooooo much, actually prefered the Defender that we bought at the same time until we did a LR Experience day and she now loves the RRS to bits - mind you she still wont help wash the thing Big Cry Big Cry

My average MPG is about 22 and when towing about 16/17 which aint great especially with fuel at £1.19 is per ltr, but heyho who cares Exclamation Exclamation "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you.

Good to hear some positive remarks for once... goes to show that just because it's a LR it's not going to necessarily fall to pieces as soon as you drive it off the forecourt Thumbs Up

Belgium 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Buckingham Blue

7 months with the TDV8 and covered about 12k miles and has had no major problems, economy is better than expected too.
We got the car for the long journeys we do between homes, one in Scotland and one in Belgium, door to door is just under 1000 miles and also as I have a farm I needed something that could tow well. The Mrs does miss the 7 seats of the Disco for family outings etc. but is more than happy with it. Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh
