I doubt a Land Rover dealer would sell a new car with that heavy a tint fitted- not worth his while, but they could have arranged for the lady to have taken her car to a window tinting company................. of course she might not have bought the car from a Land Rover dealer, could have been any 2nd hand car dealer. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I think heavily tinted windows at the front are dangerous.

when some people were looking at tints on Freel2, Mad-Dog put up the law on tints showing the FL2 is within 1% of been illegal, so possible the RRS is too

So they tint the front windows on a FL2 from the factory? They don't tint the fronts on the RRS as I didn't think LR wanted to get into the grey area of light transmission.....

My front windows appear to have a slight tint (not like the black applied tints)

Agreed most glass has a slight (often greenish) tint, but to only allow 71% through? Is that not the privacy glass?

Is it just me or does that section 32 paragraph only refer to material which are attached to the window?. ie shouldnt factory tinted glass (as oposed to the aftermarket film) be exempt?.

Exactly what I was trying to get at... and that can't be the case, so there's a gap somewhere

All RRS windows are tinted at the factory to the legal maximum. Front with a light tint and if you also have the midnight at the rear and if not all windows have a light tint. TDV6 - gone
