White white white

Had a chat with friends of mine who is in the market for a new car. They have been in talks with a couple of dealers all of which can supply fairly quickly unless they want white. They've been told that the orders for white RRS and D3's have gone through the roof - I wonder if this is true? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

James was saying that a while back... white is a lot more popular now and he is happy to spec it as he's more comfortable it will resell when the original buyer chops it back in. Think it looks great in white... and if you have clear blue skies where you happen to live it looks even better Thumbs Up

Each time I get an 'order call' from Land Rover for RRS I order a TDV8 in white with ebony, rear seat entertainment and privacy glass with the plan of running it as a demonstrator after a spell of it being a showroom car. Each time I do this we sell it!! In the last order call I ordered 2x TDV8 and 1x TDV6 in white to the above spec, so hopefully we will have at least one to have as a showroom vehicle or to replace the current demonstrator. Very Happy

We delivered 3x RRS and 1x FL2 in March alone in white! One of the RRS was from our stock (the one ordered for a demo) and the Freelander was ordered specifically for the customer, the remaining 2x RRS we had to source within the network, and swap back black cars to the dealers in return. I could see from the system that a number of dealers had speculatively ordered white vehicles as there were a few showing in-build when I last looked. If the whole network has the same 'good idea' then we could end up with a decent stock in the UK ready for the summer! Wink

It is certainly becoming much more popular, certainly in London anyway.

James Thumbs Up

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I was told last year when was looking for the TDv8 that any model in White would be a special order from the factory because they sold so few into the UK market, and that many dealers would want a deposit put down before they would order one. Maybe things have changed now that White is so much more popular.
Have been seeing a load more white cars this year than I can remember, not so many are people buying Silver cars these days - so soon police cars will start to stand out again! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Originally you could only get an HST in Cairns, Rimini, Silver, Black or Stornoway so LR must have decided that the colour choice was restricting the sales of them and given you the choice of the full range of colours! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
