Get them from the dealer - they stock them. Word of advise when refitting trim, put the whole popper unit on to the trim and then fix the rim to the door, do not separate the 2 parts of the popper. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Chaps, you'll see from the above shot that the replacement poppers are white, not yellow as fitted to my car...

The trim has become loose, thus the need for replacements.

Anyway, how / should I, remove the yellow poppers on the car's door? They are very very well afixed....
Maybe I should take the poppers apart and use the ends that fit in the trim only, but I really don't want to damage the integrity of the connection.... So it doesn't happen again.

Thanks in advance.

I removed them by pulling them out with pliers - some of the heads come off and i removed these ones by drilling them out. Replace all the old poppers and when you re fix the trim put the whole popper unit on the trim and push the trim into place.

BTW mine were yellow! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

It may seem a bit brutal, but one of the best ways of removing the yellow clips is to lever them out with a pair of scissors. Round ended kiddy safe scissors are the best to avoid scratching the paintwork.

Also, did the dealer send you any black clips? I'm sure the end clips should be black. They are stronger than the yellow clips, so give better retention at either end of the door cladding trim. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Guys, one of my trim mouldings has come away a little (after catching the lower lip of the door on the pavement when opening the door - does this mean I have to pull the whole thing off and start again??? Your help would be appreciated!! Thumbs Up
