GSM & GPS Software upgrades.....

Has anybody successfully had the GPS lock-out on early models (05) software upgraded so that the screen doesn't blank out when moving?

I was also wondering with newer models (07) (with PTI) if anybody had successfully had the software upgraded so that the address book (using a Nokia 6300) in downloaded?

The reason I ask is my LR dealer says that the downloads don’t work and he has tried on other vehicles. Personally I think he’s being lazy and can’t be bothered.

So nothing new there then! 'Shocked' .

There is absolutely no substitute for a genuine lack of preparation.

TDV8 HSE MY10 with pretty much everything including a vase of daffs on the back shelf, tropical fish collection in the centre console, hamsters in the spare tyre and finally sheep on the passenger seats.....for weight distribution, what else??

The Satnav on the move that came in with MY07 wasn't just an software upgrade if I remember. You needed to have the newer Satnav DVD as well. When you insert the new DVD into the drive for the first time, the relevant upgrade occurs and away you go... this also took away the 1791 hack (which allowed Satnav on the move on pre-MY07 cars).

As for the PTI upgrade, this has been shown to work for a fair few phones now. That said, it's not the cure for all ills as some phones do still misbehave to some extent.

2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

move the passenger seat as far forward as you can... this should give you enough room to slide the lock/unlock button and then eject the DVD RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys. (+ 19" MTR's for playing in the snow!)
