United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Java Black
My secondhand HST driving me insane... HELP!!

First of all.. may I say hello to all members here.
I bought a secondhand RRS 4.2 Supercharged HST for our family last week and have just joined this club with a mission to solve a number of issues with our new pride n joy.. Evil or Very Mad

1. There is a constant discreet beeping noise in the background and I think it's coming from front passenger side dashboard area. Has anyone had the similar beeping noise issue? (It's not the PDC cuz it also randomly beeps very loudly every now and then on its own!)

2. After driving the car for a while, I start to hear some squeeking noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. Having read through the past forum topics, it is my understanding that my car is suffering from 'contaminated power steering fluid' and needs a check from a dealer. Is this correct?

3. And finally... after falling in love with the HST styling and ending up selling my 360 Modena to provide a family wagon for our new baby and 'her majesty', I can't find any proper wallpapers or pictures of the new HST anywhere!! Help!! Big Cry
(I particularly like the new magazine ads of RRS HST with sparks flying off lamp posts.)

1. probably your sat nav system under the passenger seat.

3. No idea. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

You got rid of a 360 Modena for an HST? Are you quite mad? Laughing Wink

Anyway, welcome to the forum Thumbs Up

To answer some of your questions:

1. Doesn't sound like anything I've heard of - but sit tight and someone may have done so.
2. Possibly, or it could be leading to the "knocking" that a lot of DR-equipped RRSs seem to suffer from. Cue multiple dealer visits and a whole world of pain - not to put you off, of course Wink Search this forum for "knocking" and get comfortable with a cup of coffee.
3. There are doubtless a few HST wallpapers doing the rounds - there was a post here recently about the LR US site having a media section. You could try there Smile

If I hadn't sold the car, my wife would have driven me mad in the end anyway. Laughing

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

You could trawl through the members galleries and see what is in them that might suit........................

I agree with VA regarding the satnav noises - mine is very noticable even when the engine is running. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW
