Kaine..it's ok mate....abuse will be dealt in way of traffic jams on the M25, M1 (roadworks by Luton) and Mayor Ken will have introduced a weekend congestion charge by the summer!! And the amazing influx of new (trained?) mini cab drivers in the greater london area are extremely courteous to any visitors to London (as long as you don't expect to speak english)

............Rupert you really going to come over from Ireland for the meet?? Would be a great drive....although still think the M40 is pretty good motorway to bomb down.

Yep sure am, would love the drive & to meet up, put faces to all the names etc, etc Thumbs Up

Provided the dates work out for me, but the 16th looks good so far. At the moment, I'm fairly flexible for all of August, so should be able to row in with whatever.

Are you coming over from Cork ?

Well I’ll be taking the Rosslare / Fishguard route.

haha....I didn't think this was a matchmaking site.

Everyone, due to numbers involved and the interest this event will attract - we are going to have to make it a strict numbers event - so please be advised that only confirmed RRS drivers who have expressed an interest on the list here and ones i confirm by email nearer the event will be allowed to attend. I'm not being school matron here, but Charles Hurst are only going to be able to allow a certain amount in terms of people and cars attending. I'm happy to say everyone on the list is welcome so far, but it will close sooner rather than later pending people confirming their attendance nearer the time. Thanks

Course you can mate....we just wouldn't be able to extend to crazy numbers - like into the 40's/50's.....but anyone under 40 years old is fine Laughing but seriously.....I will confirm numbers this week - and so far the list seems fine regarding numbers etc

yup noted.....i noticed his input some time ago.....I will be PM'ing all of you in the next few weeks to confirm, and as we get to that point, we may have to draw a line under numbers - so I would appreciate replies to the PM's when they arrive in your boxes. Kaine, you can arrive in a Sainsbury's shopping trolly.....

by the by - in Ealing, where I work - I saw a motorbike the other day, with a side car attached to it......and it specialised in Motorbike funerals - the side car was a long coffin carrying side car!!! Nice niche market!!!

I hear what you’re saying about the numbers Nick.

But would it be ok if “Mrs Rupert” came along, as we’re going to make a weekend out of it.

She does drive a FL2 so perhaps that qualifies her Whistle

We’re also thinking of taking the Chunnel to Calais & onwards to visit the Normandy beaches for a few days after the meet.

mate Mrs Rupert is more than welcome...seeing as you're coming from Ireland - we can hardly leave her at Ikea down the road....don't suppose she can make some ham sarnies eh mate??

Hope I can say this on behalf of everyone - this will be a great meet!!!

Jay - have you thought about dropping into Mercedes Benz World @ Brooklands? While you're down here - they do AMG's round their test track if you fancy it....

Cheers Nick Thumbs Up

Actually thinking about it, leaving her down in Ikea, could be a very bad & costly idea Shocked

Anyway, she’s well into all things Land Rover & cars in general & thinks the meet is a great idea. (which it is) !

She’s been known to pull the rabbit out of the hat, sarnie-wise, on occasion.

So no worries there Wink
