Part leather seats

Hi

I've looked all over, but can't find any pictures or references to the part leather seats.

Does anyone have any pictures of them?

Is full leather available on the 'S' model of the car?...they don't show up on the website, but would it be possible to order them if I went through a dealer?

Thanks

I didn't know there was a part-leather option - there wasn't when I got mine 9 months ago. Matt

The 'leather seats' in the RRS are part leather.

They are normally described as leather facing seats. This means the bits you sit on are leather. The side panels and backs of the seats are usually PVC. Hence the description of part leather.

Chex - The S spec normally comes with cloth seats as standard but they can be upgraded to leather at some extraordinary on cost.

By the time you have added all the other extras you would be better advised to go for the SE spec. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Thanks for the replies

So you mean the HSE has 'full' leather, ie the PVC panels are also covered in leather?

I'm not going to get many extras - the car's not for me it's for my mother.

All I'll get is Leather, Hi ICE system and maybe Bi-Xenon Lights.

Although that does get the price close to the SE's making it a better choice.

What options would you advise?

There are three grades of leather. They are 'full' leather though. Even if parts are PVC, you wouldn't know.

The S has cloth seats.
The SE has standard leather.
The HSE has premium leather (softer) and has a leather cubby box lid.
The SC has sports leather (soft leather with pin holes).

Leather didn't used to be an option on the S model, but that may not be the case now. If not, it can be done afterwards. You can get a Disco3 converted to leather for only £1,500, so a RRS should be less (as less seats!).

For pics of the SE leather, see my gallery.

Bi-xenon lights is a £695 option on the S model, but standard on the SE. Sounds like you should get an SE.
The SE models gets leather, 18" alloys (S has 17"), rear parking sensors, folding mirrors, bi-xenon lights, leather, heated screen & washer jets, heated seats, fog lamps, automatic lights, headlamp wash, rain sensor, dipping rear mirror, harman karden hifi.

You can also had satnav to an SE, but can't to an S.

All in all, well worth the £5K extra - particularly if leather is on your wish list.

If you pm me your email address, I'll send you a power point file that shows you the options, including interior configurations. Matt

mpwox11,

Are you sure the cubby box lid is leather on the HSE and SC? I don't think it is. Does it say somewhere in the literature that it is leather then?

If it does, I just learnt my one thing for the day! Very Happy L319 D4 HSE

I have another question, so I thought I'd ask it here rather than start another thread.

I won't be ordering premium navigation coz the car's going to Africa - no nav DVDs available. Will I still get the screen or do I get a hole?

thanks

Maybe front park sensors, depending on whether she will do alot of close parking and her driving skill!

And maybe a sun roof....but to be honest I am slightly disappointed with that....not as good as the X5 large glass sunroof option. Rob

front park sensors sound good, she hates sun roofs though for some inexplicable reason...

=/ was looking forward to playing with the screen...but its not worth it without sat nav.

thanks

You said the car was going to Africa. The screen might be worth having as it shows what the 4x4 system is doing and what settings etc its on. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Will the car end up being sold in Africa or is it coming back?

If so, Sat Nav will help the resale. L319 D4 HSE
