I have just contacted Nick and Darren who are sending some pics to me so I can have alook at some alternatives. I suppoes the question is would I prefer OEM or not due to the weight of these things. Tim, have you done anything with yours? Russell. "UNDERSTEER" ----is when you hit the fence with the front of the car. "OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car. "HORSEPOWER" ----is how fast you hit the fence. "TORQUE" -----------is how far you take the fence with you. |

I'm running the standard OEM 20's complete with the front nearside slightly kerbed! I have a spare set of 19" 2.7 HSE wheels shod with Pirelli Snow and Ice tyres that I bought for winter use and having been away most of the winter I haven't fitted them yet! I haven't noticed any scratching from washing though. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Guys.....yes the wheels look wonderful; - but truth be told, and I have been umming and ahhing about this since the weekend - I keep thinking back to the ride on the 20 S/Charge wheels - and I do have to say I miss the smoothness of the original wheels - it just seems to glide with the previous ones, and still does with the new ones, but not all the time - any imperfections on a road seem to come thru to the car. Ok, it's not a major issue - but the smooth ride is what sold me on this car in the first place - so I might be getting my old ones back. Sounds like a lot of hassle - but I have a trip to Manchester this weekend - will see how I get on on the motorway etc. Seems a shame as they car looks incredible with them on but...... |

Exactly the reason i put 20 " overfinch copies and not the 22 , just didnt want the harder ride . If you like the style of overfinch you can get them in 20's. |

The ride is even better on 18" wheels......................... that's where I came from, a TDv6 SE on the stock 18's and the ride was as good as on the FFRR that I ran, now the new car is running on 20's and the ride is harsher but it isn't uncomfortable at all - noisey but still beautiful.

noticed everyone seems to be experiencing problems apart from me!!! then again i'm not taking mine of road! I really didn't notice much difference if any at all. So a suppose i'm not taking it to the right places yet??? But then I live in surrey... pretty good roads i guess!!! but then again I would rather have the looks as the 20" just dont look right! |
