James Bond in a Mondeo

So... heard this on the radio this morning whilst stuck in horrendous queues on the M25. A quick squiz around Google seems to confirm it. What are things coming to when 007 has to dump the Aston for a repmobile. I've heard of government cutbacks but this is ridiculous! Wink

He would be welcome to it!!

The pimp mobile is attracting a lot of attention from the neighbours, the exhaust hanging off the back is slightly worrying. One of my uncles is an old Army mechanic, reckons leave it with him a day and he will get it started, driving seems a distant dream right now, with the radiator having a hole in the bottom, it will overheat before it reaches the end of my road!

Like you say Kam, maybe this is going to be more of a project car. You're still going to take the plate off it for the RS4 though, right?

Yeah thats the plan, although the car has to have MOT to get tax, which is needed alongside the V5 (on its way) to transfer a plate off a car. Long stupid red tape process, but i can't run the risk of getting a dodgy MOT just in case they request to inspect the vehicle, as its clearly not in MOT'able condition right now, so it might raise concern on an inspection by VOSPA.

Inspection is highly likely as the car has been off the DVLA records since 1996 when it was last taxed, as far as they are concerned the car doesn't exist as back in 96, you didn't have to declare SORN either! long winded process, but i've got the drive space, and im in no rush, although the plate would be good for the RS4, but could wait till the M3 arrives next year i suppose.

Talking of the RS4, will you get an Audi driving day thrown in with the car? That'd be great! Smile
