Was it Jay who cut off his tail pipe on the diagonal and turned it around so it came out straight? ... I do remember reading about it last year, guess I better do a search then Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

tim, That.s right, but cant the tailpipe be cut off some to allow straight tips to be fitted? Cheers, Andrei |

Alicatt, I've seen these pics. That's exactly what I meant: you cut off half of the tail pipe after the muffler and weld the chrome onto what's left. Hence my questions abou the diameter of the tailpipe on a TDV8. Subsequent question will be on how long the tailpipe is and how long the tips have to be to look good. On top of all I like the hst-like rectangle tips over the round ones Cheers, Andrei |

I have the SC back box and tips got them off Ebay RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Sit tight - someone should be able to answer about the diameter. Search doesn't show anything specific (that I managed to find).

The down turn pipe is 60mm dia on the straight portion. The pipe leading from the main exhaust to the rear box is also 60mm dia. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps. |
