Jaguar XKR

Whilst we were in Stealer for the service today, PILAKOUTAS GROUP are also dealers for Jaguar and BMW.

In their showroom was a gleaming, dark metallic blue XKR with cream leather interior.

Now, i've always thought they were OK but the hideous cheap tacked on electric ariel ruined the lines of the car, and I wasn't sure about the grille on the front.

Anyway, seeing it in the metal, metallic paint glistening in the sun and with 2008MY having ariel installed in the rear window I have to say

I WAS NURSING A SEMI!

It looked stunning and interestingly is as near as dammit the same price as a FFRR S/C... Whistle Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Had an 04 plate XKR Conv , great car, superchargers make it drive like an animal when you want it to. Agree though - no good for the dogs or kids at all!!

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you buy an XK everybody knows you wanted and Aston but couldn't afford it, but a new FFRR Vogue SE and everybody knows you've made it to the top because there isn't any other large 4x4 that can hold a candle to it! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim - I dont fully agree - wifey really likes the XK just as much as the AM's - in case of wifey price doesn't come into the equation when deciding what she likes

This would not be in place of a FFRR/RRS as I think we will always have one or the other for the rest of our days
Bow down

Was thinking for a second car, but not for another year or two yet.

Angel, I agree but did you see the post re prices of FFRR's in Cyprus? A XKR would be around the same price.

Oh yeah, and Mrs ST has firmly stated no Bentley's, AM's or other such brands as we will 'STick out like sore thumbs' over here...

I love the XKR, esp the newer model. One of the senior bods here has got one... very sleek Thumbs Up

I need to move to Cyprus by the looks of things, if you can look at an XKR as a second car! Laughing Thumbs Up

In order of timescale:

1. Another house
2. FFRR
3. 2nd car

Rolling Eyes should be 2, 3, 1 Big Cry

That would have Ted Rodgers in a tizz (If he were still with us...) Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad
