Noooo!!! Cayenne... and an Eos

It's been a while since I've been here Whistle
But I had to tell you guys, that all my 'hard work' didn't pay off...
I couldn't convince my parents on buying a RR(S) Big Cry

Instead, my dad bought a Porsche Cayenne Whistle and my mom bought a VW Eos (I kinda like that one Embarassed ).

My dad thought that Range Rovers were for posers (hmm... what about the Cayenne? Rolling with laughter )
I can't complaign ofcourse! Both cars are very nice Smile

So, my goal is to buy my own RRS in the (near?) future. So I'll stick around Wink

Ciao,
Friso

It's the V6... we have to pay CO2-tax in Holland since the 1st of February 2008.
A Cayenne V6 would cost 8,000 euro extra, but my dad managed to take delivery of his Cayenne before the 1st of February Wink
A Range Rover Sport S/C will cost you an extra 20.000 Euro. The government has gone mad Evil or Very Mad

I like the 2.0T engine in the Eos. A V6 would be to powerful for that car Wink

Yeah, the 'Slurptax' is the CO2 tax that I was talking about Wink
My dad choose the Cayenne in a hurry... he was actually looking for a Maserati Quattroporte. But then our wonderful ( Censored ) Minister of Economics announced the 'slurptax'. The delivery-time of a Maserati was far to long and my dad wasn't planning on paying 'Slurptax' for his new car.
So he went to Porsche and asked if they had any cars in stock... and this Cayenne had all the options he needed. So he picked it up on the 15th of January 2008. Just before the 'Slurptax' became active.

I'm actually planning on moving out of this country, because this government only wants to profit out of the CO2-'problems'. They keep 'inventing' new tax-measures.
Such as the 'fly-tax' (we have to pay 11,25 euro p.p. 'CO2 tax' for shortrange flights and 45 euro p.p. for longrange flights).
They also want to increase the parking fee's for 'dirty' cars. Censored
And this keeps going on-and-on. Yawn

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Heard on the news at lunchtime today that Norfolk is going to charge parking fees for cars based on their length.... they have already come a cropper as quoted on the programme one manufacturer has just launched an upgrade of a popular model................... it's longer than the car it is based on so the same car falls into two "parking tax" groups! Interesting crazy rules also at sea - my Ukraine and Philippino crew have all just become German nationals so the company can claim back the social security that all German companies have to pay for their employees, but both sets of guys have had to sign that while they will be german "residents" for employment they will not make any claims against the German pension / health schemes and will return to their home countries for their leave! All that to have a German flag on the ship. Also to comply I am learning German as being the captain I am the only person on a German flagged ship who MUST speak and read German! Angel you live in one confused and mixed up country! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
