Indeed, the tips are really totally "false" they slip over the existing pipes and dont affect the flow of exhaust gas at all as the gas simply vents out of the botton of the new pipe. Must admit to being a wee bit uncomfortable with a 100% cosmetic thingymy bob attachment, but what the hell... they do look the part and are what LR should have made the exhausts look like from the factory. They simply slip over the ends of the existing pipes and are each held in place by 2 large grub screws towards the back. They are quite a snug fit and the grub screws do seem to get a tight hold of the existing pipe so they look and feel pretty secure. I got my quad exhaust tips fitted today. I know they're not for everyone, but I like them. Sets it apart from the stock look. I will post a couple pics if it ever stops raining! |

Smarticus because I am also considering buying those exhaust tips are you still satisfied with those tips or are they making any "unwanted sound". Also are they touching rear bumper plastic where the parking sensors are fitted? 2008 RRS TDV8 HSE, Java black, Alpaca,..... |

I have these tips fitted and as standard they rub against the swinging weights and make a noise when teh car is idling. The really need to be a bit smaller.
