Poor bloke, I hope it's not career ending.

It was for David Buust of Coventry at Old Trafford a few years back and they had to hose the blood off the pitch.

Still, some hope is that Alan Smith had a similar injury and he came back.

Talk Sport reported earlier that Edwardo is expected to be out for at least nine months.

It has just been on the local news that Croatian press are camped outside Birmingham City's training ground, waiting to get some kind of reaction from Martin Taylor who has already apologised to Edwardo and made his peace with the Arsenal player.

Some message boards in Croatia are calling for a life time ban for Taylor, some have even issued death threats. Others are reporting that the challenge was a revenge attack because Crotia beat England at Wembley and effectively knocked us out of the Euro Championships. What a load of crap !!! I think it was just that S, a freak sporting accident. Hundreds if not thousands of identical challenges are made up and down the country every week.

One of the golden rules of football for a defender is: Hit them early, hit them hard. Make the player know who you are and where you are, he will start looking to avoid you rather than play his normal game.

This is exactly what I think Martin Taylor was trying to do, unfortunately his tackle was miss timed and a bit high. He caught Eduardo's standing leg as the player was trying to change direction and accelerate away from the challenge. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE.
