It was the Kahn wheels that were reputed to have cracked.

best place for new wheels I've found is Chelsea Harbour MC....in Wimbledon - they do 22 Stormer with Toyo tyres for £1050 - they look incredible - I haven't got mine yet, as still unsure about warranty/insurance issues over having them fitted - but hey, they look very good - but prefer to stick with my 20 inch supercharged wheels for now. |

Just purchased a set of 20" Tiger Style Alloys with Hankooks on , to be honest was looking at 22 " but thought that the ride maybe a bit to harsh for my liking , having had the 20" supercharged on i knew what the ride would be like so went for them. All i can say is they look the b s and the ride is the same.Dont know too much about quality yet but as i have bought them from a dealer i know where to launch them if they cause a problem. Prefer the Tigers meself .... and i only paid £875 all in

Very true, I managed to rip one of the OEM alloys on my 535d literally in half by driving through a pothole... and that was only at 30-35mph so it easily done. No spare wheel either due to the damn runflats that they insist on fitting. I had a set of 22" stormers on a 02 vogue i had which i bought from a shop in essex. I had nothing but problems with them , from bending and paint comming off chunks , and i thought i was carefull. I have since found out there are different maunfacturs of those wheels and slight differences in them. The german ones are better. Have a look at a few before you buy them. Some also take the original centre caps which is better , my old ones didnt and it really grated on me... |

Important to note that there are real Stormers, which are an LR OE wheel and then a whole shedload of Stormer-style wheels that are from third party manufacturers. These are cheaper of course, but should always be bought knowing that they aren't from the OEM.

Thank you for the reply's. What do you think about 22 stormers in black or titanium finisch? I now have 20 inch stormers in black but they look a little too small. My car is zermatt silver. Is there any way to spott the difference in quality to the different manufacturers of the 22 stormer replicas ? |

Well you can tell if they are genuine/OEM LR wheels quite easily...................... they have the LR oval cast into them on the inside of the wheel. Anything that has a German TUV stamp should be OK, but do remember that you are fitting wheels of dubious/untested nature to a 140mph 3tonnes car. I prefer to stick with the makers originals that were designed and tested to take the punishment that all Land Rovers are able to take. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just got these Redbourne Dukes on 22 graphite center and polished lip. It replaced my 22 inch Overfinch Tiger alloys for the meantime.
