2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange
retro-fit steering wheel adjustment switch

anybody know if you can retro-fit the steering wheel adjustment switch... was reading the manual last night and noticed you can electronically adjust the steering wheel. As a side feature, after opening the driver doors the steering wheel will retract giving the driver more space to get in and out of the vehicle. not that i need the space, although would be a nice option... RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys. (+ 19" MTR's for playing in the snow!)

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Unfortunatley it is not as simple as just fitting a switch.

The electronic adjusting steering column is a completely different column to the manual column you have fitted in your pre 08MY RRS. There are also aditional ECU's fitted under the RHF seat for controlling the electronic column. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Censored ... i guess i will have to put up with the manual movement Sad

is this normal, wanting to change/mod your RRS after 2 days of ownership? RRS First Edition S/C, Vesuvius Orange, Rear Entertainment, Alpine TUE-T200DV, Stormer Alloys. (+ 19" MTR's for playing in the snow!)

No, it was not offered on MY08 UK models. It was only at MY08.5 models that this feature was added. Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.
