Some excuse about harsher climates and whilst some of us who take ours off road can maybe see the sense, the majority that drive between North Shore , Northern Beaches and the CBD in Sydney, or even between the main cities once in a while may be somewhat mystified

I mainly ask because I got ripped off on the first service for wiper blades (should have been warranty) and I am pretty sure they charged me for the amount of oil that the SC version uses at an exorbitant cost per liter. I winged to Land rover Australia about the wiper blades and at least the next service is free! (labour only). |

Hmmm.. There's another Maintenance Check Sheet for the RRS classified under " All Models Ardous". This recommends service intervals of 3 months / 6,000 km. Renew engine oil and filter every 3 months / 6,000 km ! Could this be for the 'harsher climates' ? When I collected my new TDV6 in Oct 2007 it had a service sticker on the inside of the windscreen stating service was due at 6 months or 12,000 km's - whichever was first. Haven't done the 12,000, km's so will be booking it in for it's first service next month. This matches what the dealer told me during the purchase process. I also have free servicing for 3 years so shouldn't need to worry about any outlay apart from any 'wear and tear' items! |

It is interesting to see consistency in the dealerships. The sticker in my window from when I collected mine is six months or 10,000Km. I have run over that slightly as the dealers can't get the car in for service for three weeks. I was interested to note that nothing came up on the dash to indicate a service was required once I had hit 10,000Km. Just a white TDV8 with a few extras |

Just booked in my first service for the 4th April, and the chap asked me "is that the 12,000km service you need"
