My car had this exact issue from about 8k miles and TBH I put up with it until very recently, having now covered 22k miles. It took a few attempts mind:

the D3 site has a section devoted to the Brakes in particular the Park Brake issues which can cause problems. My brakes have started to squeal again after the EPB was fixed late 2007. With all the other faults its all becoming quite depressing Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Had mine in and they said they fixed it but after getting it back it still has the same problem
