2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
Alpine vehicleHub

Hi Folks,

So, i'm still looking for a decent iPod solution for my RRS and came across a product by Alpine called the vehicleHub. It's going to cost me around £900 to get it fitted (along with an iPod interface).

A bit expensive for just iPod functionality, but i'm hoping it will be worth the money if i expand it with a TV tuner and DVD player in the future.

Has anybody else had any experience with this product?

Thanks

i've decided against the LR kit because you need to put the iPod on display to get the ID3 tag info and to search through artists, playlists etc. Having to plu the iPod in on every journey is already drving me nuts because this is what i do with the AUX connection.

I would prefer to have the iPod in the glove box and view and select stuff through the screen. With the Alpine solution i'll still have to use an Alpine remote rather than the factory fit buttons to select tracks, so it's by no means a perfect solution.

How about the Harmon Kardon "Drive & Play" ??

It would allow you to hide away the iPod, but still see track info etc, on the wee screen.
