Does the disco 3 stuff fit a sport?

Yes, it should do. The one with the checked shirt will be along later, no doubt, once he's finished threatening his butlers Wink

RPJ - you're very limited. You can get the Mantec sump guard from LR. You can also import some rock sliders from the US but these are about £1000. Apart from that there's nothing else readily available. Remember the number of RRS's that need under protection is about 5 so any parts are custom made or very very expensive, hopefully this will change now the car is becoming more affordable on the 2nd hand market. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Welcome RPJ!

The LR3 has a longer wheelbase so you can't use LR3 protection on the RRS. Check out http://www.offroving.com for RRS underbody protection.

You can get the G4 style sump guard through some dealers. Not sure, but I think VeryAnnoyed has this fitted, along with a Warn winch.

Is that the LR Winch, fitting kit and sump guard you have or Another Where did you get that Winch,
Where did you get that winch, don't realy want to pay £2700 for a dealer fit option.

RPJ yes it is - the winch is a warn XP 9.5 widely available from all good 4x4 specialists and ebay occasionally - expect to pay about £800 for a new one. I picked up the mounting plate for £50 on ebay so not sure where you can get these, but the plate I got also had the parts to mount on a D3 so I presume these are widely available. You have to buy the sump guard from LR - they have the rights for this from Mantec - cost about £360.00 if I remember correctly. As you mentioned I think LR do the kit - it might be worth contacting 'The large One' to see what discount he can get you, usually 20% on LR retail prices. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

BTW if you fit the winch you have to cut a big hole in the bumper - well worth getting a slightly damaged bumper from ebay and use that one - I picked up a spare for £40. Your front PDC will be effected too! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I was also going to suggest that you look at the megabucks skid plates by Matzker in Germany, but sadly it doesn't look like they offer them for the Sport anymore, they did for a while but I guess people were not exactly lining up to order them... They only list them for Disco/LR3 now. Crying or Very sad

Regarding the Rover Specialties / Offroving rock sliders, I have them on my Sport and, if you are going to do any semi-serious rock crawling (not a popular activity in Europe, but a very common terrain here in the Western US), they are worth every penny! Here is my "report" on them: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic6337.html

Underbody protection is very nice..and it's fun trying to get it scratched up.

Here's a few pictures of me trying to scrape it...you'll see that it's stealth coded with rhino protection....

I haven't found anything yet for the tranny or diff guard...maybe by next year someone will make it...
