4x4 Lane + Clay Shooting + 4x4 Course

Ok how about this.

Date:- 8th April TBC Looks like the 1st April Now
Location:- Between Hereford & Rhayader

Start the day with a lane about a 7 mile long. Stunning views and non damaging

Followed by some clay shooting on private land, I will supply guns, cartridges, clays and a trap. This will be fully supervised and beginner friendly. I will have to charge for clays and cartridges. Box of 25 cartridges cost about £6:00 clays are 3p each I think.

Another lane about 2 miles long and non Damaging. You will need to engage "rock crawl" for this lane.

Pub lunch or stuff the lunch and have a quick picnic under a tarpaulin. We can sort this closer to the time depending on the weather.

Then the afternoon at the 4x4 course at Boughrood. There is a selection of tracks varying from easily drivable and non damaging to the more extreme. For those that don’t feel confident taking their own cars on the more extreme tracks I will be happy to take you round in my car. Or if you want we can instruct anyone lacking in confidence that wants to have a go in there own vehicle.

Limited numbers will apply due to the amount we have to fit in on the day.
Adrenalin at 2mph

Antigua? No... news to me.

This sounds good, Andrew. I *might* even be staying with friends in the Cotswolds that weekend which would make it much more local. The bloke of the couple we're staying with might even be interested in coming too, if that would be OK. What will the overall cost be? I've never shot a rifle before (well, a pokey little .22 when I was a kid but nothing like this) so would need to be sure I could be supervised/instructed. I don't want to end up doing a Dick Cheney Wink

Wow, this sounds superb! I was in the CCF at school, and was in the shooting team, used to fire 5.56 GP/SA80 and LSW weapons then, and have never had the oppourtunity to shoot since.

Went to most of the MOD ranges in the UK, including Bisley for an international competition, so i was a dab hand with the ol' canons.

How many rifles have you got? What numbers are you looking to achieve here?

Only thing is, its my sisters wedding the next day, so might be a little busy.
Would definitely be interested for any future dates though.

Kam, Its shotguns - short range big spread, not death at 2 miles.

Jayman, its about 2 1/2 hours across the Cotswolds. Lovely drive. Near enough where I picked my car up from yesterday.

AndrewS, cracking idea but sadly I'm working that day so I'm afraid I can't make it. But thank you anyway. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone

Date change to the 1st April

Costs

The shooting is 12 bore clay pigeon shooting, not rifles and targets.

If you want to shoot £10 will get you 25 shots.

The lanes are free as you have taxed your car.

The 4x4 course at Boughrood:- I don’t know yet, at the most it will be £150 for the 1/2 day hire. Divide this by however many want to drive the course.

I would imagine around £30.00 mark total for the day.
