Headlamp condensation

This evening I noticed slight condensation in both headlamp glasses. First time I have noticed this. Should it be there or do I have a problem?

Not necessarily. It would only be a warranty issue if you have drops of water inside the lense. The condensation should burn off once the headlamps have been switched on for a short time. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Hi TB
Does that mean slight condensation is acceptable and will always happen?
Dont want to bother the dealer if its normal.

I wouldn't say it was normal John, but it does happen and folks tend to be happy to have it evaporate away once the lights are on.

I had this problem on my last Merc mainly during the winter. It evaporates away with the heat of the lamps.

Just as well cos after that a big fat spider decided to make one of the dry light units his home until it got fried by the heat. Merc had to fit a new headlamp under warranty at £550 cos they couldn't get the spider out. TDV6 - gone
TDV8 - gone
