wsy679. My RRS was recalled to have a "heating upgrade" due to poor performance. I did not notice the "poor" performance even though we regularly have minus 15 or 16 here and minus 25 to 30 in the alps.

I am not sure it is the same sort of thing. The heating installed on my RRS was specifically to make the engine heat up more quickly and had nothing at all to do with Pre heating/cooling. The option just suddenly appeared after I had the additional engine heater/booster installed. The technician and myself do not know why the option has just suddenly appeared as his LR bulletin specifically tells him that the preheat/cool option is not supported on the RR for the time being. Oh well, I will test it to see if it works (it was -16 here this morning and is even colder in the the Alps which is where we are heading next Wednesday so I could do with it working!!) |

I had to quote the Heating Service Bulletin number to the service department when mine went in for service - they hadn't heard of it. All sorted though, heating is now excellent, just in time for this mornings -3 shock to the system! Currently: Carbon Black 535d
