Belgium 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Bonatti Grey
Why is the rrs so much more expensive than the disco3?

Hi,
Why is the rrs so much more expensive than the disco3? Confused

The engine is the same (tdv6), the interior is almost the same, the disco has more space and comfort, it has the "easy offroad button", it has the touch screen gps navigation,...

Is it only because its called a range rover? Or are there some other differences worth the much higher price?

Greets Stijn,
(normally our rrs must have arrived yesterday, but land rover called to say that he will be here mo 6 march)

Sad

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Giverney Green

In the USA, a comparably equiped LR3 HSE would be only $4800 less.

In the UK a D3 HSE costs £43,500 and the RRS HSE will £44,500. These are basic on the road prices with no options........

I would bite their hands off at either deal - at current exchange rates that translates to around 65,500 Euro's each!!!!

I would double check your prices........according to these figures you are only paying £35,000 for the D3 HSE. That makes it £2,000 cheaper than the UK D3 SE

If the figures are right, then you have a no brainer.....GO FOR THE DISCOVERY!
There is a reason the UK is know as 'Rip Off Britain' though! Currently: Carbon Black 535d

United Arab Emirates 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Buckingham Blue

Here in UAE the D3 fully load cost 34K ₤ while Supercharged fully loaded RRS cost 52K ₤, that means 12K ₤ more..it is all because it range rover and I think D3 is less popular

It's for model distinction, the Range Rover brand name has always been associated with the highest level of comfort and class in the range of LR vehicles.

The RRS plays on that despite it being primarily a D3 inder the skin. The fact it looks like a descendant of the RR and bears the badge means it is designed to appeal to a different customer - those who don't want the 7 seats practicality of the D3 for example. For that, you are expected to pay more. Plus of course there are always extras on the Range Rover and Sport that you'll never find introduced to the D3 stable such as the option of the SC engines, 20" standard alloys etc.

It worked on me! Laughing L319 D4 HSE

Hi Stijn.

where did you order your sport from and what was the delivery time?

Before shouting rip-off Britain you need to compare the specs between regions, and it is my feeling that the HSE in the UK is much better spec`d than in Belgium, although it is still probably more expensive in the UK just less of a differential.

I think the same thing may be happening with the D3>RRS and if you spec them up the same the differential is a little less

If the above prices from Cherrybay are correct, they would suggest that UK buyers are getting a very good deal on the RRS, which makes a very pleasant change Very Happy

You also have to take into account the VAT factor it's 21% in Belgium.

In Luxembourg the prices are as follows;

TDV6 S - 48250 euros SE - 52750 euros HSE - 51086 euros
V8 SE - 61400 euros V8 HSE - 67300 euros
Supercharged - 76,150 euros and 1st Edition - 85,015 euros

Obviously they are packaged differently to the UK models but I know the Belgium/Luxembourg spec's are the same. cheers

Hi Stijn

You are a very patient man Very Happy

I dont see a lot of RRS about but there are a few in Antwerp and the Notaris in my village has a tonga green one with alpaca interior which looks very nice - green is not really my colour but looks good in this case.

I have been watching the market here and there are very few second hand and those that I have seen are holding their price very well

I hope your wait is over soon!
