Depends on the weather - in cold weather it needs more help than in hot weather. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Remember in the early days of this site (probably the 05/06 winter) several folks reported that the gas struts supporting the rear hatch slowed right down in the cold weather? There might also have been a fault reported on some of them... ah, not quite. Just checked and it was do with a faulty securing nut - the general advice was to "check my nuts" How have we kept this going for nearly 3 years

Mine seems to be ok opening itself, but that is a warmer climate.
