'Although the protest is unlikely to have any direct impacts on UK businesses, public reaction to it may do so. Previous protests have resulted in panic buying of fuel and consequent shortages. Business continuity managers are advised to prepare for this possibility.'

No, but my local Tesco fuel station was completely sold out of petrol late last night. Luckily I was topping up with Deisel so it didn't cause me any bother at all.

did you see Question Time this week? I can honestly say I'm embarassed that Hazel Blears is an MP, never mind a member of the cabinet - even with my limited grasp of economics, its clear that the public sector are going to have to pay for Labours criminal overspend during the last 10 years and 'inflationary fears' are just a scary term to allow the government to keep us in line. I really feel for the whole public sector on this. And while I'm ranting, how can we trust people who honestly believe that 24hour licensing and Super Casinos are a good thing |

I wish they would do something like this in The Netherlands... I pay 1,50 euro for a liter of unleaded petrol.

But where in Europe is any different................................ the only thing that some places further south have is that they are a bit warmer, but they still have the same political problems and worse economic ones. I blame those idiots in charge of the EU that none of us have voted into power. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

And then the government wonders why people are moving out of this country. Makes me wonder why migrants are moving in? Go figure!

And it's no good going further south to the Colonies - Aussie has just got a lunatic fringe in power and Kiwi has had one in power for years. Canada is no good as you have to speak some weird Garlic language as well as American, and there are just too many loonies in the USA to make it safe........................... there's no place like home 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, no worse than the Tony and Gordon show of the last 10 years hence why i decided to head for sunnier climes 3 years ago. Diesel prices are at an all time high at the moment.... 56 Pence a litre Mike P nothing wrong with moving far south i can assure you, as a Bucks person myself, i think it is the right choice, hardly an english/local accent to be heard in Aylesbury and Wycombe when i was there in May..both towns are pretty crappy to be honest..and seem worse every time i return.. Mike - give it another 12 months and it will all stop - same thing happened in the early nineties - as soon as the housing market grinded to a halt back then most of the foreign builders/tradesmen (German, Irish etc) returned home. I suspect the same will happen over the next few years. It will just get too expensive to live in the UK |

And now we are going to restrict their visas to 3 months and charge them, so there will be even more illegals trying to get in without paying................................. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
