I have done a search on here and failed to locate, so not sure if anyone knows is there is a Technical notice out for a problem with one of the transmission components??

I posted on my day out that there was some metallic vibration from underneath when driving on some corrugated unsealed roads, and i thought something had come loose underneath. The stealer had it back today with a promise on the phone it will only take an hour or two, thinking no doubt it only had to be put up on the ramps and they tightened a few nuts.

Phone call lunch time, sir your transmission is in bits and we have ordered parts from Melbourne The stated a technical notice and that the diagnostics was showing a fault another one to the list

I could not find any technical notices searching on here, anyone shed any light of any particular problems highlighted with any of the transmission components

forgot to mention

Dealer: sir did you have it in 4 wheel drive

Moi: it has permanent 4 wheel drive

Stealer: yes but did you select 4wd

did i select low range, then the answer is no, did i select a terrain response programme, answer yes, was the fault present in Terrain programme and normal setting, Yes on the unsealed road, but not heard on tarmac

And which tree was the techy shaken out of............................................. sounds like he might have been one of the engineers dismissed from my ship recently who didn't understand that when the main engine monitoring system alarm went off in his cabin during his night on duty he was supposed to get up and see what the problem was and not just press the acknowledge button and go back to bed. After 3 minutes of not investigating the problem the ship's general alarm sounds and we all have to get out of bed to muster for an emergency. Well its back, got finally put together at 4 pm today. Picked it up at closing time, no paper work so cannot even report on what technical bulletin it was in reference to. Will find out monday i hope
