Expensive Slogans...

About 5 years ago the Scottish Tourist Board (a Quango) spent 10's of thousands of Scottish taxpayers money on a new slogan for their ads and it read (cringingly) " Scotland, best small country in the world" ................ now King Alex of the Salmond has decided that this is not befitting of the modern, vibrant nation that he is the "First" Minister of and has paid a PR company 10's more thousands to come up with a new Tourist Board slogan.......

He has spent our money on the slogan " Welcome to Scotland" This man is mad, he could have saved all that money and got a class of 3 years olds to come up with the same thing! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Did anybody listen to the BBC World Service thing about the welcome that a Polish visitor got at Vancouver Airport recently? at least Scottish Police are a little bit more welcoming than the RCMP!
This incident was filmed by another traveller ( a Canadian citizen) who was waiting for a flight and the Polish guy had become very aggitated after being detained by the Immigration even though he was only visiting his mother in Canada....... it has caused a huge uproar in Canada and the RCMP and the Canadian Border and Immigration Service are both getting it in the ear 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I always liked the "Scotland.. the best small country in the world." slogan in airports when you step off the plane.

At least it attempts to dampen the blow of going from South of France to Edinburgh "CY from DISCO3"
