I've asked some of the more computer literate guys on the course here if they have this and their suggestion id to try a program called Music Monkey to convert itunes files to other types of file.

Having finally got to grips with itunes [ not slept for the last 6 days ] and now I can safely say ..It works really well - it's like anything - practice makes perfect & the more you use it - the more familiar it becomes
