I have just gone throught the process of checking with the nolia software updater - it tells me my software is up to date - so this must be the case for mine on O2 then Confused

My version of sotware is exactly the same as MDPs that he managed to transfer the phonebook onto Josh's RRS - Mine is also V11.0.026 17-04-07 RM-159 Nokia N95 [65.01] and also on O2.

I've also tried removeing all phonebook entried but one but this still isn't working - I just see the 'Processing' message on the N95.....I really want to get this working but don't know where to go from here.

MDP can you please describe the exact approach you used to successfully do this onto Josh's RRS?

Cheers,

J8ke

I simply got in his car - switched car on - accessed phone - made NEW PAIRING - entered pairing code 2121 [ if I remember right ] and hey presto .............. my phonebook appeared in Josh's screen.

I would question the LR Dealer software upgrade????

Are the contacts in your phone saved to the phone? They must be on your phone & NOT saved to your SIM !

The nokia software /application you have put on your N95 phone is to allow the PUSH of contacts over bluetooth..... no matter how many contacts you have.

I'm sure together... we will get this to work - eventually Thumbs Up

Also - to eliminate your phone as being the culprit ? Try this....

Go to your nearest LR dealer and ask to connect your phone over bluetooth to a BRAND NEW car ie. 08 or 08.5 model year.

If your phone works in those - then get yours checked? If not then it may be the downloaded software to the phone thats not performong???? Perhaps a revisit to the links I posted & re-perform the download maybe Confused

My guess its the car/software ... as Mrs MDP's N95 [ I did the nokia software download on it ] doesnt work in her audi - but ok in mine.... but her TT obviously does'nt have the latest firmware installed in her car - it is a year older than mine.

My wager is on J8keyboy's RRS software not being UTD Confused

According to Trinity in Hinckley, LR have changed the Bluetooth system for the 08.5 MY to the same one used in the Freelander 2. This apparently provide the facility to upload your phone address book as standard.

Not sure how much I believe them though as this was the same guy who told me nobody would buy secondhand Brembos off ebay. I think we know that's not correct. Smile
