List of ECU upgrade/remaps in Oz

HI

I am about to get me a new tdv6.
and I have read this forum reasonably extensively...

To help me and others I was hoping to just list the options for ecu remap in Oz in this post...
I know i can read all the other posts for opinions...

From what i can gather the options are??? happy to hear feedback

Autologic
Turbo chip??
Diesel Tune.
any others?

Thanks Simon.
I have already heard from John from Diesel Tune,

I assume you have had you D3 done? How do you find it?
I guess my only concern is whether is a lot of black smoke under hard acceleration.
(dont want the attention of the EPA)

The power increases are impressive, to the point that I haven't really floored it yet, just enjoying the ability to subtly take on just about anyone at the lights Wink

Not noticing any black smoke increase at all yet, but I haven't had an observer...

Cheers,

Hello,

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm searching for a bit more power from a new TDV6 RRS.

http://www.dieseltune.com/Contact.htm

Is this the diesel tune you refer to?

Are there other Aussies that have gone down this path?

HI Damn,

The diesel tune i was referring to is the one in the UK, it seems like the site you list is do withsomething else(?)
From my uinderstanding...(happy to be corrected) most of the ecu remaps seems to descend from the autologic type heritage...prices varied from 1100 to 1320...some charged 50 for a remap after the dealer did a wipe..some gaveyuou free rewrites in the first year and some free rewrites (with no time limit?)

The only concern i had was the amount of black soot that might attract the attention of EPA inspectors...
You might think me paranoid, but a mate was forced to revert his exhaust to factory for the noise it was emitting...

I have not done it yet...cause my car is still getting built for the second time......

My RRS TDv6 is coming out of warranty, and after much deliberation about going for the TDv8, the decision is to keep for another 2-3 years and remap for now.

Anyone actually gone down the Dieseltune or Turbochip route in ANZ..

What were the results
What is the difference in approach

Cheers
