Alpine DVD Entertainment System- region hack???

I'm getting really frustrated with the Rear ICE DVD system- doesn't even play Region 0 NTSC discs- very fussy indeed! That's the Bollywood collection down the drain for 3 hour journeys! There's got to be something clever that can be done to sort this out.

Any help??? Most of us are reptiles... only the enlightened few become human beings.

Sorry Gekko Embarassed

It is possible to "chip" the DVD unit like any other... some dealers will do it, others feign ignorance. But you can purchase the replacement chip independently from Alpine. I'm not sure whether replacement is a soldering job or not, but I'm sure they can advise.
