RRS Door handle installation

Can anyone provide instructions for installing new door handles ona 2006 RRS?

he probably just wants to color code his handles or he got the black lr3 handles.

There are some pretty easy instructions on the land rover gtr site, its worth paying 8 dollars for the day to get them. Sorry I pasted it into a word document once but I cant seem to find it.

I purchased the LR3 Black handles thinking it would look better than the dark silver ones

I think your best bet is to ask your dealer about this, I don't think anyone here has had cause to remove door handles yet. L319 D4 HSE

Are the LR3 door handles painted black or is it just a darker version of the RRS? Anyone have pictures? Thanks!

They are not painted. They are just matte black (or dark grey -- depending on personal opinion)... similar to the mirror housing plastic. Look at every picture of the LR3 and you'll see them.

They look much nicer than the stock ones. I'm thinking of actually painting them. Has anyone done this and have some examples? Allen

Hello all,
I'm new to this forum, and I've been searching on quick tips on how to remove the door handles. Does anybody have any suggestions, or tips on how to remove the door handles? I purchased the black LR3 ones to match the rest of the black plastic trim. Plus it should look better w/ Java Black. Thanks in advance

2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

I think you will find that you have to remove the inner door casings to get at the door handle fixings.

As a note of caution, you should take care to read the vehicles manual before disconnecting any electrical connection (i.e. power window switches). You risk putting fault codes into the vehicle ECU's when tampering with the electrical systems / connections. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

its actually a pretty easy process but its hard to explain. I would recommend going on the landrover gtr site and paying for a day pass. The instructions are listed there with pictures.

The hard part is getting the door clips out without breaking them but since you have a new pair of clips you might not care to break them
