Anyone suffered this? Low speed brake squeal when pulling up or negotiating car park, its intermittent (like its only one bit of the disk(s)).

It maybe the wire that operates the system has stretched a little and the self adjustment on the winch isn't taking it up so the pads are binding slightly.

Quick fix is to buy a new RRS! Probably not the fix you were looking for! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

So far I haven't suffered it on the new car so I wonder if they have made some modifications. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hmmm. Well, suppose its not all bad but it is bleedin' annoying on a 40+k motor. Bit embarrassing in car parks too. If our knackered old renault clio doesn't do it, why should this.

Well that's a new one! How can you avoid it as the EPB on both the RRSports that I have owned has engaged automatically after the car has been parked for about 10 minutes and I haven't applied it manually! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it 2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW |

I seem to vaguely remember hearing that there had been some mods to the EPB to stop this from happening on more recent models.... rear pads FOC seems like a good deal, although if the issue is in the EPB rather than the rear pads themselves then that won't necessarily remove the problem.

Yes that's correct. The on board pc will continue to work if you park it up for any length of time in one of the raised modes. Therefore it will continually try to keep the car at the correct height and also level......which will prove difficult after sometime as the engine needs to be running for the air compressor to work.........so no air may mean wonky suspension levels and a flat battery. I suggest that when you park up that you lower it to access height as this turns the pc off and will save you causing issues with your air suspension and stop you having a flat battery.
