Very green of me but I assumed that D3's and RRS's would be built on seperate production lines. Pic from the gallery clearly shows a RRS in the foreground with a D3 at the top of the picture.......

TB my dealer told me that my car leaves the factory on 16th of march are the car out of the factory the day they are built? RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

This is interesting. I expect I'd find out all about this if I was going on the factory tour!! ! So what do you get at the end of the 5/6 hrs you refer to? By the time the vehicle gets to the end of the main assembly line it is complete, ready for the customer. In theory you could collect your new vehicle and drive away from there.

All explained in the factory tour thread - but basically too many things conspiring against it that day... I'd love to go though. Wow - 6 hours to put an entire car together, ready to drive away? That's amazing, given the complexity of a modern car!
