Thanks for the replies guys, It seems that there is now a £7000 difference between the SE and HSE and the only thing that I would find of any use between the 2 specs would be the sat nav and bluetooth functions. And £7000 for these 2 items is VERY excessive!! I was told by the dealer if you specify the integrated bluetooth phone then you get the fin. That option is £350.00. (a tomtom 910 is £295 and has sat-nav, phone bluetooth and speed camera alerts) Therefore, I am loathe to pay £2350 for a factory fitted sat nav and phone bluetooth system without speed camera alerts. My brother bought a RRS HSE last year and never uses the Land Rover sat-nav as he had to buy a tomtom as well to deal with the speed camera issue. He said that when he bought the car, the price difference between the SE and HSE was only about £2500, and he was shocked when I told him how much the HSE was now. So I can't really justify the £7000 price difference to get an HSE over an SE. Does anyone think it is worth spending the £2350 on the RR sat nav and bluetooth to put onto the SE?

Well I am yet to see a RRS with PTI doesn't have bluetooth.

And I get to see more than most. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Well trust me mine doesnt have it, it was at the dealers for 5 days while they tried to sort it out, they reprogamed the ecus did everything, then they spoke to L/R and it turns out that mine was produced for Portugal and over there they dont have the license for blue tooth operation on there phones, so it wasnt fitted on to my car at the factory.and they said that it cant be retrofitted So they tell me, i cant remember if it was Portugal or somewhere else, its written in my handbook, i will have a look and if different i will post it some of my Previous cars

Funnily enough, Land Rover list as an accessory for the '07 RRSport a "Hands free telephone installation kit" for £223.00 whats the difference between this and the PTI? (which I assumed would come with bluetooth?

I think what we've decided here (and that TB has confirmed) - is that either SatNav or the PTI gets you a fin.

Interesting to hear the Portugal market doesn't allow BT. I wonder if that's just for in-car systems or BT in general?

Voyager, don't lose sight of the fact that come resale buyers will want SatNav and PTI on a car of this sort of price/spec. There's a reason why most TDV6 sales up until now have been HSEs Very Happy Also, I'm not sure the fact that the LR system doesn't do speed cameras is a reason to drop it - I'm not sure that any OEM SatNavs have speed camera support. But it's your money and your car - you should do what you think is right. Very Happy

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 S Java Black

Bought fin off ebay and have fitted it to my RRS.

Does anyone know which wire is which that comes out of the fin to the connectors. One is blue and one is black each to their own connector. Presume one is for phone and one is GPS.

The reason - I need to connect my Alpine GPS to the fin and not sure which wire to cut !
