I'm still trying to get over an firework disaster I had in 2000 Sad

by this I mean no one lets me forgot my spectacularly awful Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter firework bizarre - it was the last time I bought 'garden' fireworks Sad

What happened K? Confused

The worst fireworks experience I had was in 2000 too - on New Years Eve!! Watched the central London display amongst the millions of others in the centre of town and then it took me 5 hours to get home. I was living in Docklands then, so I ended up walking in the end. Massive anticlimax, even when pi**ed up!! Sad

Laughing

just the embarassment of it all - never got over it to this day - 50 people at my house (including some clients etc etc) - I left buying the fireworks until the last minute and was left with no selection - so bought a load of fireworks called Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter Embarassed

I kid you not, but I could have set them off inside - they were so lame I just wanted to dissappear into the woodwork

everyone had a good laugh though - at me of course

Tim,

Is that the boat that was introduce to the fleet about 2/2.5 years ago? If yes, I have visited it in Copenhaguen just before it was put in service.

I used to work in a gunshop, fireworks were great fun, letting them off in the cellar was a hoot! We never let off those mortars though cos that would have been dangerous Shocked

The one you visited would be the Emma Maersk - one of 10 white elephants that Maersk Line have lumbered themselves with in their headlong rush to be the first to have a 14,000 TEU (Twenty foot containers) box ship.
Mine is a baby as it can only carry 10,000 TEU's but at least the company can fill it and it makes a profit (when we are no having our cargo diverted to the Emma or one of her sisters in an attempt to fill them up!) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

It certainly looks like a ship to me doesn't resemble an elephant at all! Tim too many stays in Jamaican ports I think! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
