What can I say PauloAmore.... I was initially told this by the LRE instructor I had when I first got my RRS and I've heard the same thing from other LR staff since.

Shmoo, I think you've been spun a line on this one. Logically I just can't see that Safety Legislation (UK or Europe) would allow a spare wheel to be included in the calculations for the safety performance of a car. It may be the case that having the spare in place may "increase" the safety in a collision but NOT having it will not reduce safety below the minimum level allowed.

Have spoken to LR customer services today. They assure me that only parts that are directly affected or replaced by the LPG conversion are void of the warranty and that everything else remains covered. The parts that are changed, should in-turn be covered by JE Engineering's warranty, albeit for a shorter period.

I can foresee a claim being potentially complicated and stretched out, but achievable. Looks kinda 'win-win' on the S/C conversion front - for the moment Surprised

This was confirmed by the service team at Shields LR in Glasgow who were extremely helpful and seemed relatively well versed in LPG LRs. Current Cars

Did you by any chance ask them about the crash protection being altered by not having a spare wheel in the well? 2022 P440e AB

I didn't - I doubt they would know to be honest and their answers tend to err on the side of caution when it comes to LPG.

I don't think there would have been any formal testing and I assume at some point it has been raised as a concern by someone thinking of having it fitted. Current Cars

I've never understood why Land Rover don't offer an official LPG conversion for any of their vehicles, given the popularity of this modification in the after market. Not only would they be offering their customers what they clearly want but it would also help to lower their overall carbon emissions to keep the tree huggers happy, instead of messing about with carbon offset schemes.
