United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Stornoway Grey
Now your car is run in and bedded down...

I am very interested to know what everyone is getting out of their car in terms of fuel economy. I am interested in the TDV6 as well as the petrol versions. Also, what type of driving are you doing mainly (Short runs, motorway etc)

I get a total average of 17.5mpg in the Supercharged, and that's mainly motorway work. Believe it or not, due to the MASSIVELY high number of miles I'll do this year (looking at 25K I reckon) I may consider changing out of mine after a year in order to minimise the hit on depreciation. This will come as a shock to some I guess. Shocked

I'll be looking at the DV8 but also the TDV6, and also the TD6 RR. So, knowing what everyone is getting from their cars will be a very useful guidestick for me.

Cheers fellas. Cool L319 D4 HSE

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Bonatti Grey

TDV6
22-25mpg for mostly local motoring, like school run, shopping etc. Therefore, lots of short cold trips. Most of the time, the dash reads 23 mpg. When I drive it and do a longer run, it goes up a little (25-28mpg). I once got 31mpg on a 1 hour drive, but then I was driving like a pensioner on a Sunday morning! Matt

24mpg out of my TDV6 D3.........complete mix of driving. On pure motorway, as high as 33 if you do not go above 2K RPM, keeping Turbo at idle

Average motorway is around 28mpg - I got 26mpg on the round trip to Switzerland this year and that was 4 up fully loaded with Ski gear etc (back tyres needed inflating to the maximum recomended pressure!!!) and on the way back we were shall we say 'gunnning it' somewhat (well - a lot actually, as much as the speed limiter would allow anyway!)

I got to Cornwall late last summer on half a tank coming from Leeds!! we were though sticking rigidly to 70mph on cruise control.....

BN off D3.co.uk is the master at getting maximum fuel economy......I think he may even do training!!!!! Currently: Carbon Black 535d

6500 miles in and averaging about 25mpg at the moment. Mostly long runs but from tomorrow will be 95% motorway for the next 3 months. I should see it go up a bit then I imagine...

I've driven about 10,500 miles and am averaging 16.5 mpg overall - slightly higher on highway only runs. Driving split fairly evenly between in town, country roads and highway. I'm driving a gasoline version, non-turbo. tlw '06 RRS HSE Chawton White/Alpaca Lux/PTI/Sirius
