Orange Freelander Loan Car

For the last week I've had a orange Freelander 2 as a loan car.

What can I say other than only one more week till I get my RRS back! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

The best thing about it is the colour - I've forgotten what cheap manual cars drive like! I suppose it's not too bad a car but it has no toys and rattles a bit. The worst thing is the stupid key and button start/stop! Evil or Very Mad 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I actually quite like the start/stop button. Not a first though, but I've really grown to like it a lot, as I have the Freelander itself !!

The button isn't a problem, its the stupid key! The auto is good and handles well, we've been happy with ours so far.

What NO Privacy Glass Shocked

As for the Start/Stop button = Pathetic attempt by land Rover to include this system.

Audi/merc/Bmw etc etc ..... now they've got it right. Full keyless go..... Just walk up to the car - get in - and press GO/START Thumbs Up

Yes I agree !

LR are still using green dash illumination that’s pretty much the same as on my ’95 Discovery Rolling Eyes

Even Jag, LR’s stable mate, have nice blue phosphorus displays in their new car.

Then there’s the monochrome LCD screens in the instrument binnacle & radio display. No cool multi colour displays from the boys in Solihull, oh no !!!

I really feel LR are lagging behind the rest a little in that department. They need to get with the programme & jazz things up a bit. When you look at the dash displays in Beemers, Mercs, Audis & the like, LR really are back in the late 80’s early 90’s.

That said though they are very solidly built cars with fantastic capabilities unlike most of their competition. But if we could just get a bit more jazz going they would be perfect.

I agree...

My dads RR Vogue 2003 instrument binacle has now started to break up ... ie. the digital readout for trip etc has digits missing in its display = pathetic really.

I think that looks good VA... the wife just received a FL2 LRE invite as her current FL1 is due for replacement in Dec. What puts me off about the FL2 is the price... top spec FL2 = entry level RRS and I know which one I'd rather have.

Which one what? A loaded 3.2 FL2 will cost you approx £35k and an RRS S will cost you the same.
